Shana Chow is a Canadian actress and model who turned a break up into a breakthrough as a dating and relationship coach. On today’s episode, we talk about how seeking validation lowers confidence as well as the four (ok, five) stages of online dating can burn you out quickly.
Shana has her degree in social sciences from Simon Fraser University, has a life coach certification, and was a personal trainer through NASM; which we share in common. She passionately works with women who feel frustrated, overwhelmed and discouraged in the dating scene.
Shana believes that societal, cultural, and internal pressures plus a woman’s biological clocks to have children and settle down before a certain age is what holds them back in a relationship. Thus, they find they are not being their authentic selves, going on multiple dates (possibly getting dating burn out), because they feel pressure to get into a relationship without getting clear on their boundaries, deal breakers and ideal partner.
Shana is passionate about writing and poetry and has published two books; the most recent titled “I Tried to Write Love Poems”. Shana grew up behind the scenes of the motion picture industry and was passionate about film making before entering the life coaching world. She is an avid reader and recommends these to her clients to help them grow.
